An English Literature student (Dakota Johnson) interviews a wealthy single businessman (Jamie Doran) for the student newspaper. She is attracted to him romanticially, but he just wants her for sex with as the dominant controlling her as the submissive restrained sex object. This is a poor film with unappealing central characters, almost non-exisitant supporting charcters, uninspiring dialogue and is punctuated by a couple of soft porn bondage scenes. The original book may have been popular, but the film is not good.
